University City is a community of San Diego known by many names. Technically, a part of the city of San Diego, this area is known as University City, UTC, University Towne Centre, Golden Triangle & La Jolla East. Mira Mesa is a large suburb community in the city of San Diego. The community borders Hwy. I-15 to the east, Hwy. I-805 to the west, Los Penasquitos Canyon to the north and the Marine Corps Air Station Miramar to the south. At the west end of the community resides the Sorrento Valley business and technology park – a major employer for people living in this area.
